Customer Review: Minor light loss, maintains AF, well built

This teleconverter is well built and is a good compromise to buyer more expensive telephoto lenses. It works well with all of my f/2.8 AFS lenses. It does slow the autofocusing a little but not to where it is a problem. You do lose one stop to f/5.6 but not a bad compromise given the price. Build quality is good. I also have, and recommend to 2X teleconverter in this product line.

The new TC-14E II has now been updated to match with the new AF-S lenses, and will maintain full metering and focusing with compatible cameras and lenses. This converter will increase the focal length of the lens by 1.4x, and reduces the lens aperture by one f/stop.Lenses
