Customer Review: Useless as Battery Backup for Transferring

I purchased the EH-6 AC adapter for my Nikon D200 camera specifically as a power source when transferring photos from the camera to the computer. (Downloading onto my MacBook with OS 10.4 can be slow, though downloading is faster onto my iMac with OS 10.5.) I read warnings to make sure the battery is at full power or to have electric power from an adapter to prevent photo problems in the event the battery dies in the middle of transferring. That is the whole point of the adapter, and I don't know of any other reason to own it.
The problem is that it is impossible to connect the EH-6 adapter and the USB cable (used for downloading) into the D200 camera simultaneously. The adapter slot is in the middle of the left side of the camera (from the shooters perspective) and the cable cord plug is an L-shape that points down! It is made of hard material, so it cannot be bent. Directly below that is the USB slot. Only one can go in at a time! The shape of the adaptor cord plug is unfortunate and makes the item useless.
