1.) It holds up the camera.
2.) It gives a lot more than that stock black Nikon strap. Very soft.
3.) Its bright yellow and it draws attention to you and the big expensive camera you're dragging around, I don't endorse its use around thieves however.
4.) All in all great strap for any Nikon, maybe you could even find a way to put it on a coolpix.
